This Part 3 video is of our test board build. But the plan is to have an awesome board with built in battery and ESC compartments. I have been working with a company that can make a board all Carbon with compartments, so it will be one of the last parts of the build to focus on early new year.
These YouTube videos are part of our Kickstarter DIY Electric Hydrofoil project and I just wanted to reach out and be sure backers and followers have the proper expectations to avoid any confusion of what the Kickstarter backers will receive vs free followers of the channel.
Those who supported the project with largest pledge option were buying personal support for their own build, the insight we gain from other builds, new ways to build for less or higher quality parts articles, and our videos series. Many of these backers have reached out to us and we are all helping each other build, which is awesome and highly educational for everyone including our selves as there are many ways to go about getting the same outcome.

Some of the videos we post will private meaning only our backers will have access to these, and others will be public depending on the content.

The project closed only 4 weeks ago, and it does take time to start working with backers to gain more insight and new ideas. Also, once we order parts we have to wait for them to arrive, putting us in the “Hurry Up, And Wait” feeling…
One of our backers and I are creating and testing the coolest Excel calculator so you can enter your volts, motor KV, gear ratio, and desired speed, and a prop size and pitch ratio will be calculated. This will tell you if the prop you have is the right prop or not, or the type of prop you should be looking to test. This was weeks of research and some large formulas to make all this work. Its still a work in progress but backers will have access to it once completed. This will be the only calculator of its kinds and makes motor, volts, gear box and prop selection much easier saving you time and money. We are putting this to the test over the next couple of weeks with live testing to confirm but very exciting stuff.
